A Dream

Deep down in the heart, there is a dream of a place..
A place far away from this tyrant-led abyss
A place where people still rise to feel the morning dew

And praise The Creator for His expertly framed masterpiece
Where the only music is of birds chanting every dawn
Welcoming the morning as it sweetly breaks in
Where waves murmur love songs in their deep tones

And the wind plays lullabies for Adam's younger kin
A place where children still run in fields with fearless hearts
Where beauty is modesty and honesty isn't extraordinary

A place where the moon still blissfully smiles
And the sunshine merrily gleams at every tree
A place where a woman's teardrop still shatters hearts
And a child's plea still reaps love and mercy
Where a man's strength, and a man's valour
Still protects the oppressed and helps the needy

A place where they work to earn, and earn to live
Where the night brings contentment and every morning elevates faith
Where people walk without masks and talk without cursing
Where hatred is forbidden and hurting, long forgotten...

A place so calm
So pure
So serene
So true

A place
Where you can still hear God...

Farewell 2013

2013..the year they said would never come along. They ended the whole world back in December 2012 just cuz there were no dates on Mayan calendar beyond that. And here we are, its 31st December already.

Life's going on...although its a greatly chaotic and if you look at the bigger picture, you'd see the world suffocating and gnawing at itself. At times, it seems the world has really ended. Humanity is an extraordinary trait nowadays. Honesty is like an antique treasure, we never bothered to receive it from our ancestors. And modesty? It was something that was adored and adopted with pride ages ago. Now greater portion of the world has already abandoned it; those who dare to embrace it are eyed abhorrently.
But that's THE WORLD. My little world is far better. So are the little worlds of many others.
Instead of being alarmed by the foreign consequences of this rather sad planet, we live merrily in the make believe world of our personal circles.

So yeah, its the beginning of another 365 days with a new number, 2014. The world is celebrating the new year, while longing for a new era.

P.S. For a personal numeric memory, 24th March, 2013 was a grand day.

Evolve..!

Let go off the past, let it go
Stop tryin' so hard to avenge
Set yourself free
And let God play His part
Give life your best
Stay focused on your goals
Concentrate on little things that need to be done
Stop slacking, live hard
Rest when needed
Don't waste time
Pray soulfully
Rejuvenate your beauty
Prioritize tasks
Plan backups
NEVER compromise on values n ethics
Love all, try to overcome hatred
Forgive everyone for everything
Smile often,
Ignore the pain
Give all,
Demand little,
Expect nothing.
Remember there's a kid around and he will learn only what you teach and show.
Give everyone the time they deserve: Family first!
Always remember God.
Evolve into something greater than yourself...!

Giving

The only way to get it, is to give it.
Whats 'it'?
Its Love, its Respect, it Care
Its those little gifts you share as a token of remembrance.
Its anything and everything you could ever desire
Anything you ever wished to receive.

The only way to get what you want, is to start giving it.

But what if I'm already giving? And not getting it back anyway?

Don't despair, dear heart.

Cuz if you're not getting back what you're giving, you're definitely getting hidden treasure boxes for Aakhirah! ;)

And there is no blessing greater than that!

Constipation & Diarrhea

Whether it be constipation or diarrhea, both extremes cause fatigue and unbearable disturbance in routine life. Here's some very effective stuff to cure both :)

Constipation:

Oranges - Yes, the most famous and highly prescribed one..especially to women right after delivery. Because it softens the stool and therefore prevents the stitches from loosening.

Green Leafy Vegetables - Is there even an inch of doubt in the effectiveness of this stuff? Nope!

Sultanas - Not so famous, but it cleans up your stomach quicker than you thought! Soak 7 sultanas overnight and let them be the first thing you shove into your mouth the next morning.

Egg - Heals constipation over a day or two. An egg a day definitely keeps constipation off the bay.

Honey - One teaspoon! Works best when mixed with a glass of warm milk.

Mango: Yes, the king of fruits does it right! Will take just a few hours if you eat a good share of mango.

Fresh Apple Juice - It has to be fresh, it has to be just Apple and nothing else ground away with water.

Water - All time leader! But it takes regular intake.

Gripe water - This is not a raw natural product,  but is made of certain herbs that heal constipation and all other stomach upsets. In the subcontinent,  people give a daily dose of one/two teaspoons to their newborns in order to keep them healthy and at par from stomach troubles.

Diarrhea:

Bananas - Yes, a banana or two should do the trick. Four bananas a day won't harm either...so eat till you heal.

Yoghurt - Add desired amount of sugar to a saucerfull of yoghurt and eat it twice a day. Heals at fair speed.

Uncooked Custard - Mix a tablespoon of custard powder in twice as much milk; add a pinch of sugar and mix it well. Drink it down! Might require greater quantity at times though.

Sago Pearls - These are really tiny pearl like seeds or God knows what. All I know is they're really effective. Soak 2 -3 tablespoonfuls in water for 20 minutes (Add enough water cuz the sago will consume double or thrice as much space after being soaked) Cook the sago until they turn transparent and the water gets thick. Add these to a glass of milk, shut your eyes and just gulp it down =p

Cucumber - Yup! *nomnomnom*

Water - Yes, here as well. Water is a universal healer.

Most of this stuff could be fed to infants of 4months+ as well (in liquid form), although its better to ask your kid's consultant before doing so.

I'm pretty sure there's stuff that I've failed to recall. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns regarding the above mentioned remedies.

Stay Healthy!

Patience

Patience builds,
Slowly and unsteadily.
But,
It sure builds.

Keep waiting, keep enduring with your smile
=)

Endless Pursuit

The only things we consider precious are the things that constantly keep us in pursuit;
whatever is easily available, although worthy, doesn't even manage to grab our attention...

If Only...

If only we could be
A little slow to criticize
To taunt, to blame, to rage
To scorn and to hate.
And a little quick to praise
To forgive, to smile, to encourage
To share our bounties & our joys
And show tidbits of our care.
We can weave a lovely fantasy,
Live an enchanting fairytale
But since we keep on living wrong
We end up being a nightmare.
